Monday 16th & Tuesday 17th February
Energy College “Charge Your Knowledge!”
‘One World Workshop’ for two days.
When Kids took over…
This is the story of what happened:
‘Future transportation’ brought onto the site…
lifting and shifting palettes to make mud free walkways
demonstrating the art of chopping wood into kindling.
Precision lighting of the bonfire – no newspaper required, dry grasses and loose twigs only!
kept alive all day long…
whilst printmaking happened on the gunpowder millstones
and bamboo poles were lifted to make a wigwam structure
that provided another shelter and perfect place to take a break!
Palettes transformed into cafe furniture….decorated with an array of carefully selected fabric.
plus an intriguing stage like structure appeared aswell as a site noticeboard.
a moment of sword fighting…and lots of food preparation!
with special homemade delicacies from Waltham abbey (blueberry muffins), Chingford (bread rolls) and a village in India (pasta)
and then “lunchtime everybody”…
Book your table for two anytime at Energy Cafe! we recommend just as the sun goes down!
imagine a mealtime with
this enormous pan pipe produces an all round sound when played with a flip flop!
and then fine tuning hand tool skills..
with a demonstration of the first wind power experiment.
The field came alive with ideas…
just imagine a moat here!
Thankyou!!! Andy for bringing One World Workshop to Energy Cafe – to all the parents too. Plus a special thanks to ‘the kids’ for taking over! Come back soon!
